The L.A. Times’ end-of-year designs for their two main lifestyle sections were loud and punchy, guiding your eye through a word-cloud of serif and sans-typed subjects that  represent the last year of arts and entertainment. The more subtle idea, however, is an overall design that works double duty when you place the two sections together. Had to take a picture of the full effect!
